SoC ARM Inside technology
The SoC ARM Inside technology allows for the making of high performance, low power consumption and low heat build-up embedded systems.
The electronic boards which make SoC ARM Inside systems are based on complex integrated circuits, called System on Chip, which integrate the computation capability – in the form of ARM core processors – and the main I/O devices available in embedded systems or in MMI equipment, on a single silicon wafer:
- Ethernet

- USB
- asynchronous COM ports
- synchronous SPI e I2C ports
- EIDE
- GPIO
- video output
- audio output
- touchscreen controller
- keyboard controller
System on Chip integrated circuits are also capable of managing relevant amounts of both RAM and ROM memory. Moreover they very often integrate special circuits, such as mathematic co-processor or other special functions.

In SoC ARM Inside systems it is possible to install most of the real-time and non-real-time operating systems available on the market, particularly, they support Linux and Windows CE.
SoC ARM Inside technology covers various scenarios in modern electronics applications; at the bottom side we find those equipment with no or limited man-machine interface and with a limited computation and i/o capability (applications which are more suitable to more or less advanced microcontroller),
at the top we have equipment in which man-machine interface, computation power and connectivity are at their best, so are power consumption and heat dissipation (applications for which PC's or very powerful SBC's are recommended). In between, we find (from experience and concepts by TERTIUM Technology):
- SBC boards based upon Cirrus Logic's SoC EP93xx, with on-board mathematic co-processor
- Wi-xx boards and modules by Digi, with on-board Wi-Fi interface
- on-field control consoles with wired Ethernet or radio Wi-Fi network
- handheld terminals for data collection and wireless sensors' readout
