RedSensing Systems
The RedSensings systems are based on the Ultra Low Power Wireless technology (standard IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee). This type of technology allows data communication via radio (medium ray – up to some hundred meters of capacity) between two or more connected devices logically online
The RedSensing devices are programmable in C language, the operation of every single knot and the behavior of the entire net radio can be easily customized according to the real application needs.
A RedSensing system includes a coordinator node (RedSensing USB) and one or more sensor nodes (RedSensing IO).
RedSensing IO
RedSensing IO operates as sensor node acquiring data from a variegated typology of sensors
The RedSensing Io card is equipped with
- a 3-axes accelerometer,
- a 3-axes magnetic compass,
- a temperature sensor;
through connectors are available:
- digital inputs and outputs,
- analogical inputs and outputs (even 0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA, PT100),
- audio inputs and outputs.
Moreover, the RedSensing electronic cards are arranged for serial interface (asynchronous and synchronous SPI or I2C) with a second card of ad-hoc made inputs and output.

RedSensing USB
RedSensing USB is the coordinator node of the net. By the USB interface it is possible to connect it to a pc, allowing the monitoring of sensor nodes located in the environment.
Redsensing USB can be disconnected and, by the presence of an internal battery, it can continue to making a datalogging of the net.
To access the RedSensing network sensory knots it is possible to use a BluePalm handheld terminal series M equipped with IEEE 802.15.4 radio interface
