TERTIUM Technology was established in Pisa in 2001 building on its founders’ experience in electronics and information technology. It offers a unique range of radiofrequency identification (RFID) and wireless sensing (Active RFID, WSN) products, that are small in size and highly competitive in terms of power consumption.

The company, led by its founders Marco Consani and Axel Penzo, started its business acting mainly as technical consultant. It later shifted to supplying turnkey solutions and to developing its answers to the needs of the logistics and industrial control industries.

TERTIUM Technology has retained its initial vocation as "solution provider", and it now also offers clients the capability of designing and developing solutions, including prototypes and small, custom-fit productions. The company’s comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, such as RFID HF and UHF, GPS, Wi-fi, GPRS, Bluetooth, ZigBee, enables it to combine them with data acquisition and data processing systems offering extremely low power consumption.

TERTIUM Technology works together with qualified members of Research and Innovation network both in the Pisa Area (the association of innovative companies of the local Chamber of Commerce, Club Imprese Innovative, the University of Pisa) and nationwide (Italy’s National Research Council).
